DESCRIPTION:

A country hotel set in true African scenic splendour, with a wealth of history dating back to the 1850's. With the greater Addo Elephant National Park on its doorstep, Zuurberg Mountain Village has become a popular getaway. Guests are accommodated in thatched roof cottages, or in the old original 1861 Manor House. It is fully furnished to meet international standards. We are able to accommodate maximum of 80 people per night, in the African styled thatched cottages.

The manor rooms are adjacent to the main hotel. The five original rooms are furnished with genuine antiques that capture the ambiance of yesteryear. Each en-suite room has French doors that lead out to a private patio with beautiful garden views. The 16 classic thatch cottages are bright and spacious. Each cottage has an en-suite bathroom with a beautiful garden setting. The newly built upper Zuurberg Village consists of 14 luxury thatched cottages all with modern amenities such as large en-suite bathrooms with a shower, a bath, mini bars, as well as underfloor heating.

The hotel boasts a myriad of activities, including a restaurant, English pub, chapel, function facilities, swimming pool, bowling green, all weather tennis courts, private guided game drives and the most important "elephant experience". The hotel is the ideal destination for honeymooners from all across the country, and internationally.
