From central Gauteng, take the N3 following the signs to Durban. Remain on the N3 for the majority of the journey. On reaching the greater Durban area, follow the signs to the South Coast, this will lead you directly onto the N2 South Coast freeway.
From Durban
Take the N2 south following signs to South Coast resorts and Port Shepstone. Continue on the N2 past the Durban International Airport and continue following the Port Shepstone signs. Remain on the N2 South. At the Oribi Toll Plaza, continue straight on the N2. Follow the signs to Port Edward. After Port Edward continue on the R61 for 5.2km to the Wild Coast Sun turn-off, which is 400m after crossing the Umtamvuna River on your left hand side.
From Umtata
Follow the N2 north from Umtata towards Bizana. Continue on the N2 until you reach the turn-off to Bizana. The turn-off is shortly after Mount Ayliff and this route continues onto the Wild Coast Sun.
