Information about White Bridge Farm
 
We are situated on the banks of the upper reaches of the Breede River, surrounded by majestic mountains which offer the most fantastic views.

There are three self catering units and a guest room near the main homestead. There is a beautiful venue called the Olive Rock which is suitable for all functions from weddings, conferences or any celebrations. We have a wonderful chef living on the premises who can cater for any event.

The farm is a working fruit farm with pears, plums, and a variety of citrus. There is good fishing on the farm for carp, tilaphia and bass in the farm "pits". Guests can take a walk around the farm, enjoy the wealth of birdlife, or simply relax on the deck with a good book.

There is a good restaurant within 2km or a great coffee shop in Ceres (10km away) if you wish to eat out. Our guests enjoy bringing their friendly dogs to visit and love the freedom and peace, lovely sunsets and stunning views. The new attraction of the longest Zip lines in Africa situated near Ceres, are also a great draw card for visitors.

We are situated at the well known White Bridge intersection of the R301 / R43 and the R46 roads. (The road does not take you through Wolseley town no matter from which direction you approach.) Look for brown tourism sign that reads White Bridge B&B and Olive Rock Function venue. The farm is situated only 10km south of the town Ceres, and 20km from Tulbagh. It is in heart of the Cape Winelands, about 90 minutes from Cape Town.

Route 1: Via Bainskloof Pass (Very scenic - daylight route)

Take the N1 north and at Klapmuts/Stellenbosch offramp turn left onto the R44 to Wellington. Continue until you arrive in Wellington and you go left and right and find yourself in the main street. Follow the signs to the R301 and Bainskloof Pass. This is a beautiful pass and the road leads straight where you want to go. You continue on the far side of the pass until you see the green sign which reads White Bridge farm. Ignore this sign and continue a few hundred meters to the Brown tourism sign which reads White Bridge B&B and Olive Rock Wedding and Function Venue. This sign is situated at the Ceres 10km sign. Here you turn left and follow the signs to our house and get instructions from there.

Route 2: Via Nuwekloof Pass (Flat route)

Follow route 1 as far as Wellington. Before you enter Wellington, you keep left on the R44 marked Ceres. You stay on this road and it winds through the Swartland and then through Nuwekloof Pass. You eventually come to a T junction and here you turn right on the R46 towards Wolseley and Ceres. You will leave Tulbagh behind you. You bypass the two entrances to Wolseley and just before you start the final climb to Ceres, you will find the R43 and R301 to Worcester to your right (take note: you do not go to Wolseley, you take the R43 to Worcester. You cross the river and a few hundred meters later you will see the brown tourism sign which reads White Bridge B&B and Olive Rock Wedding and Function Venue to the right. Once you have turned, follow the signs to our house/office and get further instructions from there.

Route 3A: Via Hugenot's Tunnel / Du Toit's Kloof Pass and Via Slanghoek (A scenic route)

NB: The Slanghoek route should not be taken after recent rains as you could be caught by a flooding river.

Take the N1 north and continue through the Hugenot's tunnel. On the far side of the Du Toits Kloof Pass, you will turn right at the first opportunity. The sign is marked Rawsonville. You will continue for about 3 or 4km (not measured - an estimate) and you will see a crossroads. Here you turn left to Slanghoek and Goudini Spa. Continue on this road through the Slanghoek Valley past the Slanghoek Winery and you will suddenly get onto a dirt road. Do not be alarmed, this just lasts for about 3km. It takes you over the Breede River to a T junction. At this junction turn left. After another 3km you pass the Bergsig Winery and get another T junction. Here you turn right, following the signs to Ceres. You will pass a green sign which reads White Bridge farm. Ignore this sign and continue a few hundred meters to the Brown tourism sign which reads White Bridge B&B and Olive Rock Wedding and Function Venue. This sign is situated at the Ceres 10km sign. Here you turn left and follow the signs to our house and get instructions from there.

Route 3B: Via Hugenot's Tunnel / Du Toit's Kloof Pass and Goudini Weg

Follow the above instructions as far as the Slanghoek turn off. Here you do not turn left, but continue another km or two and turn left at the next cross roads marked Goudini Weg. You will cross over the top of the N1 and come to a T junction and turn right. After about 5km, you come to a T junction and you turn left, following the signs to Ceres. At the next T junction just after Bergsig Kelder, you turn right, following the signs to Ceres. You will pass a green sign which reads White Bridge farm.
Ignore this sign and continue a few hundred meters to the Brown tourism sign which reads White Bridge B&B and Olive Rock Wedding and Function Venue. This sign is situated at the Ceres 10km sign. Here you turn left and follow the signs to our house and get instructions from there.
