Whale Watchers Inn is situated in Witsand, overlooking San Sabastian Bay which has officially been recognised as "The Whale Nursery of South Africa". Witsand is situated at the mouth of the Breede River with houses overlooking the river while others overlook the sea. We are situated approximately 200m from the mouth of the Breede River. Guests can take a beautiful walk along the beach especially in the early morning and evening to view our magnificent sunset over the river.

The Inn offers affordable accommodation in 5 en-suite double rooms on a bed and breakfast basis, (four of the rooms have sea views), plus 5 family units with fully equipped kitchenettes. The units are serviced each morning and breakfast is available as an extra option. Each of our b&b rooms has a small fridge and tea / coffee making facilities. The self catering family units are fully equipped, you only need to bring your food and clothes along with you. All our bedrooms / units have TV's. Braai (barbecue) facilities are offered in the garden of the guest house. Whale Watchers Inn is wheelchair friendly, and children are also welcome.

We are situated approximately 100m from the beach, within easy walking distance for the guests. Swimming at Witsand is good. Witsand also offers lovely long walks along magnificent unspoilt beaches, fishing and bird watching. Hiking can be arranged as well as boating on the Breede River. Our beaches have become renowned amongst wind and kite surfers, visitors enjoy watching the beauty and gracefulness of these surfers gliding over the waters.
