We are about 5 minutes walk from the ocean and the clean safe beaches, where one can swim. If you just want to rest take a book, lie on the deckchairs and enjoy the sea. If you do not want to drive to one of the excellent restaurants nearby arrange a dinner at Whale-Phin, we stock good wines. Self catering is also available.

Make Whale-Phin your base from where to explore the Garden Route. George is only 35 minutes drive, Knysna 70 minutes and Oudtshoorn 60 minutes. Take the Outiniqua "Choo-Tjoe" (steam train) from the Railway Museum in George to the Diaz Maritime Museum in Mossel Bay. Excellent Game reserves are also in the vacinity (as close as 10km from Whale-Phin).
