DESCRIPTION:
 
Set in the inspiring Sneeuberg Mountains near to Compassberg and Nieu Bethesda (The Owl House), this historic working farm, with its 150 year old water driven mill, offers you a range of accommodation and activities, including hiking, swimming and tennis.

Weltevreden accommodation comprises of 3 self catering cottages, two with three bedrooms and an en-suite bathroom with a shower / bath. These are semi detached and can be used as inter-leading accommodation for bigger groups. The third cottage is a beautifully renovated prison and it has a double bedroom and a loft with four beds and a full bathroom. All cottages have a kitchenette, an open plan lounge / dining area and a private patio for braais (barbecues).

Birds are plentiful and the outdoor space is abundant for the energetic. The sublime tranquility enhances your stay if looking for a peaceful farm style atmosphere. With log fires and grand starlit skies you will truly feel that you are away from it all as you enjoy sheer relaxation. DIRECTIONS:
 
If traveling from the north of Johannesburg turn onto the N9 which will take you to Nieu Bethesda. Travel on this gravel road for 27km until you enter the village of Nieu bethesda. As you enter the village, turn right and drive for about 300m until you reach a stop sign. Turn right onto Richmond Road and travel for 8km you will then come to a Y-junction. Take the left turn to Weltevreden Farm and drive for 5km, and you will see the farm on the right side of the road.
