Weavers Roost is situated within easy reach of Hartebeespoort Dam where you can enjoy water sports or visit the aquarium and wildlife displays. Ride the cable way to the Magaliesburg Summit for breathtaking views. Even closer by is the "Cradle of Humankind" Heritage Site, with Sterkfontein Caves, Rhino Park, nature reserves and trout farms. There are good restaurants and bush pubs in and around the hamlet of Magaliesburg, which is about 15km from Weavers Roost.
