Walkerbouts is a spacious haven adjacent to the site of the first hotel that was built in the historic village of Rhodes. Rhodes is situated at the southernmost tip of the Drakensberg mountain range, 16km due south of the border with the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho.

Walkerbouts is a six-bedroomed establishment complete with cosy lounge, and pub with two wood-fired pizza ovens providing an alternative, and adding another dimension to the wholesome country fare served in the dining room. Four of the bedrooms en-suite facilities have showers, whilst two have baths, one combined with a shower and a bath. Beds are fitted with electrical blankets to ward off the winter chill. Picnic hampers can be made for lunches in the field. In addition to standard washing and ironing of clothing, a tumble dryer can save the day for times of inclement weather. Fax, photocopying and email facilities are also available.

It's relaxed and hospitable atmosphere makes it a "home from home" where well-behaved, disciplined pets are welcome by arrangement. Onsite and local attractions include fishing, horse riding, mountain biking and hiking, snow skiing, volleyball, tennis, birding, wing-shooting, rock art and 4x4 trails.
