This lovely Cape Victorian guesthouse is located in peaceful surroundings, providing its guests with the utmost in relaxed luxury with all mod cons but still offering an affordable getaway experience.
The guest house consists of a farmhouse kitchen, grand dining room, lounge with fireplace, honesty bar, small library of books and DVD's as well as internet access. The Victorian (honeymoon suite) and Rose Room are furnished with Victorian antiques and with a four poster bed in the honeymoon suite. The loft rooms have separate entrances and are decorated with Cape Cottage furniture. All the bedrooms have stunning mountain views, except for the Rose Room which overlooks the beautiful rose garden. All rooms have 26 / 32 inch HDTV, DVD player and free wi-fi internet access.
Facilities and services in and around Montagu include hot mineral springs, gourmet restaurants, wine routes, museums and historical buildings, art galleries and local crafts, rock climbing, hiking and biking trails, 4x4 routes, golf, fishing, quad biking, donkey cart rides, horse riding, bird sanctuaries. Various nature reserves in the area include Wildflower Nature Garden and Botanical Gardens. Day trips consist of tractor rides up the Langeberg Mountains (potjekos lunch) and river boat cruises (picnic). |
