Situated on the boundary of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve at Shaw's Gate and only 10 km from the Paul Kruger Gate, this visual oasis of inspirational elements combines to cumulate in this magnificent tented safari camp. Intimate and comfortable, yet simplistic combined with excellent service, the camp creates an African Safari feel to your journey. Tydon Safari Camp offers guests a unique opportunity of staying in permanent semi luxury tented rooms and experiencing wildlife game drives and bush walks in the Sabi Sand as well as the Kruger National Park.
Chic African styled tented rooms perched on raised platforms create the perfect ambiance for your safari stay. The six tented rooms combine privacy and comfort complete with en-suite bathrooms with a shower and air-conditioning. The tented rooms feature twin beds with linen and African design bedspreads, side table with lampshade, chairs, mosquito nets, hairdryer, luggage stands, plug points and tea & coffee facilities. Children have a unique experience by staying in their own tented room on the same deck as their parents. For infants, we provide stretchers in the same tent as the parents.
Nutritional breakfasts are served in the dining area with a choice of either a traditional fried breakfast, or indulge in a fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, cereals and fruit juices. Lunch consists of a variety of sandwiches, fresh salads, fruits / fruit salads, served with an iced cold beverage. The crackling campfire with flickering lanterns under the African skies sets the mood for dinner, consisting of steaks, boerewors (sausage) or chicken served with salads, bread rolls and corn, while a bottle of South African wine compliments the evening meal.
Safari dives are conducted in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and the Kruger National Park. Each day will see you participate in exhilarating game viewing opportunities on safari drives, with a chance to relax and refresh the soul, while maybe being fortunate enough to see lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino in their natural habitat. Safari drives are conducted in open game viewing vehicles, which provide panoramic views when we encounter animals on drives, as well as allowing you to get an insight into the sounds and smells of the African wilderness. |
