DESCRIPTION:
 
The private and exclusive, Tuningi Safari Lodge offers both local and international guests a superior product enhanced by an impressive "Big 5" safari experience. Tuningi is one of the very few 5 star lodges in South Africa that welcomes children and in by doing so, avails them of the wonders of nature, wildlife and our delicate eco-system.

Nestled in the bush within the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve lies Tuningi a 16 bed luxury lodge. Enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the heart of nature, designed with the bush experience in mind and ideal for families and small groups, the accommodation comprises of family units and private bush villas all adjacent to the main lodge. A private reserve with the "Big 5" viewed from open game vehicles, you will never find more than three vehicles at a sighting which all makes for a memorable safari.

Tungini has four luxury bedrooms with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, fireplace, bathrooms en-suite, outdoor showers, and private decks. Two family suites with a lounge / kitchenette / dining area, large private deck with bedrooms on either side. As well as an impressive main building, offering indoor and outdoor lounges, a dining room, bar, wine room, wrap around viewing deck overlooking our waterhole.

Madikwe Game Reserve is MALARIA FREE and offers 165 000 acres of prime Game Viewing including Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino. The BBC and National Geographic have visited Madikwe on several occasions to capture the impressive wildlife, especially the wild dogs that have firmly placed Madikwe on the tourism map. The Reserve is is a mere 3 ½ hours drive from Johannesburg, and has its own airstrip for those that wish to experience an exhilarating fly-in safari.

5 DAY AIR PACKAGE

Stay 5 Nights at only R14 750 per person sharing, and we will provide Free return Air transfer on the daily scheduled flight between OR Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport and Madikwe Game Reserve.

Rates include all meals, 2 game drives per day, local drinks.

DIRECTIONS:
 
From Johannesburg head north on the N1 towards the N4 Toll road.
Take the N4 Toll road north west towards Rustenburg, Swartruggens, Groot Marico and Zeerust.
Once in Zeerust turn right at the second stop street into President Street.
There is a signpost on the left that says "Madikwe Game Reserve / Gaborone" and a First National Bank on the corner to the right.
Follow the R49 towards the reserve for approximately 97km.
The first entrance to the reserve is Abjaterskop Gate.
Pass that gate and enter Wonderboom Gate exactly 7km from the first gate.
