From Cape Town International Airport
Take the N2 highway and travel west towards the city and the mountain for approximately 12km. You will see signposts directing you to Muizenberg / Kirstenbosch Gardens. Follow them until you bear left onto the M3 Muizenberg turn-off. Continue along the M3, until you reach the T-junction at the end of the freeway (approximately 15.7km). You will go past the University of Cape Town, Newlands Forest, Claremont and up the Wynberg Hill. Travel down past Constantia and then Tokai and finally as you will get closer to the mountain and arrive at the T-junction.
At this T-junction, bear left onto the (M42) and then turn right at the traffic lights onto the M4 South. This the coastal road towards Muizenberg and Lakeside on your way to Fish Hoek, passing through Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay, you will finally arrive in the main road or high street of Fish Hoek. At the end of the high street of Fish Hoek you will come to a roundabout or circle with directions bearing either left on Simonstown Road to Simonstown (M4) or right on Kommetjie Road to Kommetjie (M65 - West).
Bear right around the circle towards Kommetjie on Kommetjie Road (M65) and continue straight along this road until you take the 2nd road left into Highway Road. You will pass the memorial garden on your left hand side, the Catholic Church on your right hand side. The Fish Hoek primary school and the Pool Shop will be on your right and just after you see the Mcdonald’s sign you will start looking for Highway Road. You will pass 13th Avenue and signposts to the local Spar just before you turn left into Highway Road. There is a veterinary surgeon on the corner as well as a Christmas tree.
Travel on Highway Road for 200m and take the 2nd Berg Road right climbing up the mountain for approximately 400m. Be careful as the first road right is also Berg Road. Pass over Ranger Road and then turn into the 2nd road right which is Peak Road. Drive around a very sharp corner and travel for a further 200m. Tranquility Guest House is on your left hand side at No. 25. There is ample guest parking on the street between the driveway and stairs or you are welcome to attempt our steep driveway and park on the right hand side. |
