The Tides Inn looks forward to welcoming you to our relaxing Bed and Breakfast where the magnificent view and moods of the sea can be enjoyed from the overlooking sundeck. We are situated just south of Durban City Centre on the Indian Ocean. If you are here on holiday there is plenty to do, or if you are here on business, amenities are close by.
Our rooms are homely and comfortable, well suited for both families as well as the discerning businessman. If on business all email, faxing, and copying facilities are available, while if on holiday simply relax with a good book and enjoy the wonderful ambience. All rooms have private access and are en-suite. Breakfast consists of orange juice, fresh fruit in season, yoghurt, cereals, sausage, bacon and eggs, and fresh tea or coffee.
Activities like golf, swimming, surfing, gym, strolling on the beach etc. are all within a radius of 2km's. For those who enjoy day outings there is plenty to do and see, why not spend the day in the Drakensberg Mountains or in a nearby game park ...

On N3 from Johannesburg, the Pavilion Shopping Centre will be on your right, take the N2 Exit 165 / Port Shepstone / Durban International Airport / South Coast off-ramp. Travel for ± 4km and then take Exit 161 Queensburgh / Edwin Swales / M7 off-ramp.
At the traffic lights turn left onto the M7 and continue on this road for ±7km where you will pass a BP garage and Wimpy on your left. The road will split, take the left hand split - up Bluff Road and turn right at the traffic lights into Old Mission Road, at the traffic circle turn left into Bidford Road where you will find Grosvenor Girls High School on your right hand side. At the T-junction turn left into Tara Road and then take your first right turn into Club Road. This will take you through the Valley with the Golf Course on your left.
Follow the road left until you approach the stop sign on Marine Drive. Turn right into Marine Drive and you will find us ± 0.5km up the road on the left hand side, opposite Brighton Beach School - look out for the sign.
