From Cape Town
Take the N1 highway towards Paarl. Then take Exit 59 marked Wellington / Paarl. Turn right at the T-junction onto the R301 and proceed under the N1 highway. Continue on this road for about 16km and you will pass Drakenstein Prison, site of Nelson Mandela’s release, on the right hand side. At the T-junction turn left onto the R45 towards Franschhoek and continue driving straight for about 5km. On your left you will see La Motte Farm followed by a sign for Môreson Farm. About 500 meters from this sign is the sign for Happy Valley Road, the road is directly opposite this sign. Travel for 2km down Happy Valley Road you will see the main gates for Môreson Farm, drive through these gates and take the second turn to your right. You will see The Winery House clearly signposted.
From Cape Town via Stellenbosch
Take the N2 highway towards Somerset West. Then take Exit 33 (R310) towards Stellenbosch. At the T-junction turn right to continue on the R310 into Stellenbosch. Follow the Franschhoek signs (R310) over the Helshoogte Pass and through the village of Pniel. Turn right at the T-junction onto the R45 and proceed on this road for about 13km. On your left you will see La Motte Farm followed by a sign for Môreson Farm. About 500m from this sign is the sign for Happy Valley Road, the road is directly opposite this sign. Travel for 2km down Happy Valley Road and you will see the main gates for Môreson Farm, drive through these gates and take the second turn to your right. You will then see The Winery House clearly signposted. |
