A peaceful corner of the university town of Stellenbosch is home to The Stables Lodge, right in the middle of the beautiful wine route of the Western Cape. Situated under the watchful gaze of the Helderberg Mountains the guest house is ideally located to explore the famous winelands. The Stables Lodge is situated only 40 minutes from the beaches, various restaurants and the sights of Cape Town.

The guest house has five bedrooms that are all individually and tastefully decorated, equipped with air-conditioning / heater units, bar fridges, hi-fi's (MP3 players), and tea / coffee making facilities. The establishment also has a chalet with a small self catering kitchen, for guests who would like to cater for them themselves. There is a well manicured garden with wonderful views of the mountains and a big heated swimming pool. A voluptuous breakfast is served daily on the terrace or in the little restaurant.

The German owner himself takes care of the well-being of his guests and is always happy to help organise fantastic daytrips. He is proud of his individually orientated service which starts with the airport transfer and only ends when the guests are completely satisfied. The area is a golfing paradise with some of the world's finest golf courses. Information about the different courses and their rates are available and the booking of the green fees can be arranged without any additional costs. Wireless internet and a laptop will be handed out at the reception desk, free of charge.
