DESCRIPTION:

The Baths is a privately owned, uncommercialised resort, which is never overcrowded. It offers affordable tariffs, despite offering a high standard of customer service. The Baths is a natural hot water spring resort which is situated in a kloof on a citrus farm, 16km south of Citrusdal, and only 2 hours drive from Cape Town.

The natural hot springs are the resorts main attraction, and are enjoyed both for healing and gloriously relaxing qualities. Established in 1739, this self catering resort with handsome Victorian style stone buildings, maintains an old world charm in a scenic, rural setting. The accommodation at the resort consists of 34 fully equipped, self catering flats and chalets, as well as 10 well shaded, electrified caravan and 5 tent camping stands. Residents have free use of the hot and cold swimming pools, a rock pool, and the private spa baths. MacGregors Restaurant with its mouthwatering a' la carte menu offers an alternative to the self catering guests or it gives them the opportunity to relax with sundowners on a wooden deck. A little shop onsite sells self catering necessities.

Other facilities on the premises include a pool table, tennis court and a trampoline. There are a number of hiking trails to choose from. The Cederberg Mountains regularly receives snow during winter, so what better way to go on a hike and to submerge yourself in the hot mineral water. During spring we play host to the large wild flower display in the area. Other attractions available in the area (town) include a golf course, quad bike farm, wine cellars, rock art, the Cederberg Mountains. The resort promotes outdoor living in a relaxed, yet comfortable atmosphere.
