Thatchwood Country Lodge is situated at the entrance of St Francis Bay, opposite the Jack Nicklaus Links course and overlooking the 6th Tee of the St Francis Golf course from the garden. Seven tastefully decorated en-suite rooms offer all comforst and most have their own private garden or sundeck. Enjoy a round of golf on one of the two courses or just stroll down the fairways to the unspoilt white beaches and watch the whales and dolphins. Relax near the pool in our beautufull garden and watch the birds, enjoy a drink in Harries Bar or read a book in one of our two lounges.
St Francis is the perfect destination for water sports enthusiasts and for hikers. Birders too can enjoy a vast variety of birds to view. Thatchwood is not only a perfect base for golfers, but also to discover the area and visit gameparks like the Addo Elephant Park and many others.

Approx 100 km west from Port Elizabeth you take the N330 to HUMANSDORP. Take this off-ramp and follow the road into Humansdorp. You will come to a stop street with 2 large palm trees and an Engen Garage opposite. Cross over, passing the garage on your left. Drive through the town to a T-junction. Turn left here and follow the road and signs to St. Francis Bay. When you get to St. Francis Bay, turn left and Thatchwood will be directly ahead of you.
