DESCRIPTION:

Priding itself on its privacy, Thandimvelo Mountain Retreat is the ideal venue for small informal conferences, team building, group weekend breaks and family get-togethers. This wonderful, peaceful and exclusive mountain retreat is situated in the Steenkamps Mountains near Lydenburg, overlooking the Kwena Dam. It is here that you can simply sit around, relax and discover yourself again, amongst shady trees or around the campfire at night, while the stars give their million dollar show.

The mountain retreat consists of 5 tastefully decorated chalets, each with a small verandah and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the valley. The chalets are either equipped with queen, double or single beds. The 5 chalets in total can accommodate a maximum of 12 people.

Communal ablutions consist of two separate bathrooms each with a shower, toilet and two wash basins. All linen, bath and hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and toilet tissues are provided. The retreat is serviced by a fully equipped gas operated kitchen. All cleaning materials are provided in the kitchen and daily cleaning services can be arranged on request at an additional charge.

A cosy covered lapa with built-in braai (barbecue) and bar area provides a wonderful social atmosphere. An outdoor boma with central braai (barbecue) is a must for late night star gazing. A third magical braai (barbecue) area is situated under the trees.

A generator is available to power electric lights at night. Please note there are no electric power points at the retreat. Plenty of paraffin lamps and candles provide a wonderful ambient atmosphere for those who prefer a complete breakaway!
