Situated in a lovely sub-tropical garden with a breathtaking view up the Pongola River, it is ideally located 1km off the N2 highway between Pongola and Mkuze at the T-junction to Golela. Tamboti Ridge Ranch is an established sugar and game farm situated in the beauty of the Northern KwaZulu-Natal bushveld. It is an ideal stop over point when travelling between Johannesburg, Kruger Park or Swaziland and the Zululand Resorts such as Sodwana Bay, Kosi bay, Rocktail Bay, St. Lucia and Hluhluwe / Mfolozi Reserves or Southern Mozambique Resorts such as Ponta Do Ouro.

There are four air-conditioned bedrooms, en-suite with a bath and shower. The spacious rooms lead out onto a wooden deck where you can relax and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. Guests can enjoy wholesome farm style breakfasts or they can choose to self cater. Dinner can also be arranged by prior booking at our upmarket game lodge, Shayamoya, where you can enjoy the dramatic views and camaraderie at the bar. We serve a 4 course meal or a traditional braai (barbecue) at the boma.

Guests can relax under the beautiful trees listening to the variety of birdcalls. The more energetic can enjoy swimming lengths in the large pool, which is situated next to the braai (barbecue) area, or taking a walk around the ranch. Our property is adjacent to the Pongola Nature Reserve and the Pongolapoort Lake. Bring your own boats and tackle the challenge of tiger fishing! Depending on availability, guests may take part in activities which Shayamoya Tiger Fishing and Game Lodge conduct which include game drives, sundowner boat cruises, tiger fishing, elephant monitoring and rhino tracking.
