Tamboti Bush Lodge is situated in the middle of the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve. Your hosts Derrick and Pixie Cochran will welcome you with warm hospitality! The lodge offers fabulous bushveld cuisine with lots of wonderful activities that will keep you entertained during your stay in the African bushveld. The lodge is just 30 minutes drive north of Pretoria and close to the Rust de Winter Dam. It has 6 spacious suites each with their own décor and style. All the suites have TV's with coffee / tea making facilities. The lodge also has two log cabins, and a luxury safari tent with an en-suite bathroom situated right up in the trees, overlooking two beautiful dams. Three self catering suites and a self catering house with tennis court lapa and swimming pool are also available. Activities available in the area include fishing, diamond delving, horse back safaris, bird watching, and many more.
A morning at Tamboti Bush Lodge starts with the music of nature - the sounds of hundreds of birds welcoming you to the bushveld. Enjoy an amazing breakfast in the restaurant open to the sounds and sights of the bush. Do not be surprised if a jackal or an impala gives you an unexpected welcoming visit. Guests may either laze around the pool or go for a walk or cycle through the bush on a mountain bike. The bar is always open and meals are always available in the a' la carte restaurant or experience a picnic in the stillness of the African bushveld, accompanied only by the local wild animals.
Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve has a large variety of animals including rhino, leopard, giraffe, eland, kudu, wildebeest, zebra and many more. Game drives are with available. Lions and elephants are due to be released in the game reserve soon in the meantime you can also take a relaxing a stroll through the bush and do some bird watching. We have a list of 162 birds already spotted at the lodge. Do some tree spotting, many of the trees are already marked with over 80 indigenous trees to be found around the lodge. Enjoy the feel of the African bush but live in absolute luxury at the same time. |
