Sycamore Avenue Treehouses are situated at Hidcote, between Mooi River and Estcourt, within sight of the Drakensberg. We have five eccentric and romantic "Treehouses", all are made by hand from local woods by the ingenious sculptor Bruce Attwood. Each charming Treehouse is private and out of sight of the others with its own jacuzzi-spa bath, shower and fireplace nestled into the trees.

We are members of the Midlands Meander, which has approximately 150 various shops, galleries, cheese makers, potters, wood turners, weavers and (if you choose not to dine with us) restaurants. The Weenen Game Reserve is nearby, and a picnic lunch eaten under a large wild fig tree is popular. The Bushman paintings at Kamberg are some of the finest in the Drakensberg and provide a 90 minute walk for the active and adventurous. Horse riding in the foothills of the Drakensberg can also be arranged. The magnificent Giants Castle, where you can learn of the Bushmen, visit a Vulture Hide and take spectacular trails is also a short drive away.

We have various themed Treehouses which include - The Romantic Treehouse, Fantasy Treehouse, Bottle Treehouse, Planequarium and Pegasus (the latest addition to our Treehouse family which has an equestrian theme). Each Treehouse is situated in a secluded spot on our 50 acre estate, where you can take a stroll among the horses, enjoy our English Country Garden or simply relax and while away the day in your hammock or jacuzzi, in a tree, far away from it all.
