This is not only a guest house for the executive, visiting lecturer, judge, or tourist, but also for parents visiting their children. Furthermore it is a place for the getting together of friends and family and for those exploring and passing through the City of Saints. St. Aidan's is owned by Robyn James who has done extensive renovations to the building. It has been restored most magnificently and is a little piece of history well worth visiting. A water well was discovered under the house and as a result St. Aidan's have their own source of water and are not entirely dependent on municipal water.
While many of the original features have been preserved, the emphasis is on cosiness and comfort. The rooms are air-conditioned and have underfloor heating for year round comfort. A wireless internet connection and satellite television will keep you in touch. Secure off street parking, a splash pool, a laundry service, honesty bar and a well stocked library are available to all guests. The sumptuous full English breakfast is served daily and the full time staff will cater to your every need. Thereafter the well equipped kitchen offers self catering facilities for the rest of the day.
The beautiful and indigenous garden offers numerous areas for relaxing in peaceful surroundings. There are also braai (barbecue) facilities for those who enjoy outside entertaining. St. Aidan's is centrally located with easy access to all the schools, the University and the Judiciary. Provision can be made for children sleeping over and dinner can be provided on request. |
