Spread Eagle Lodge is situated on Marine Drive, within walking distance of our magnificent Indian Ocean and popular beaches such as, Ansteys and Brighton with their tidel pools, excellent facilities. These facilities include paddling pools with lifeguards on duty and a lovely restaurant on the beach. Water sport activities like surfing, paddling, skiing and on a good day dolphins can be seen frolicking in the waves behind the beaches.

The lodge is close to shopping facilities, major chain stores as well as medical facilities. There are numerous entertainment centres such as, pubs and restaurants. It is also conveniently situated on the bus route to Durban city centre and beaches alleviating those parking headaches!

For the fitness enthusiasts, the area offers an 18 hole golf course and two gymnasiums. For the bird lovers there is a bird sanctuary a mere kilometre and a half away. For the early birds there is an added bonus of watching the beautiful morning sunrise over the sea.
