Views of the Langeberg Mountains

Skeiding Guest Farm is one of those places that you fall in love with for no reason. Maybe it is the absolute peace and tranquility or the panoramic views of the Langeberg Mountains, the bright stars at night, the mouthwatering food or the goodness of just being close to nature that makes you want to come back. Situated on high, open, rolling terrain you can experience the feeling of freedom and being kind of alone with no surrounding neighbours in sight.
This friendly family farm is the ideal stopover place situated close to the N2 and halfway (250 km) between Cape Town and Knysna. The guest farm offers comfortable accommodation consisting of 2 bedrooms (with private entrances), 1 luxury/honeymoon suite with a heated spa bath, 1 studio and 4 cottages. They are equipped with all the necessities that will make you feel really pampered. The rooms have various amenities including en-suite bathrooms with strong showers, ostrich leather slippers, gowns, heaters and fans, hairdryers, honesty bars and tea / coffee making facilities. The rooms and cottages are also named after birds & plants commonly found in our area, which is a real bird watcher's paradise.
Enjoy a home cooked country cuisine prepared by Anné-Lize and her small team of able and enthusiastic assistants (Allen and Aletta). Neels is the meat "chef" on the open fire, unless the farm work calls him away. A three course menu is served every evening at the family dining table. Please let us know of any dietary requirements for the best culinary experience. Also let us know if you are celebrating a birthday or any special occasion that you would like us to cater for.
One of the highlights of your stay will be the farm tour with Neels. This "hands-on" experience every morning at 07:30am includes feeding the ostriches and watching the intelligent farm dogs work with the sheep and ostriches or the Nguni cattle.
Your friendly hosts Neels and Anné-Lize look forward to welcoming you to their beautiful home! |
