In a class of its own. Fresh mountain air, the tranquil sounds of nature, this is Silvermist, an exclusive estate situated on the slopes of the Constantiaberg Mountains, in the heart of the Cape Peninsula. The luxurious Silvermist Lodges are of a high standard and positioned for superb mountain views as well as being thoughtfully designed and decorated.

The cottages are self contained, comfortable and fully serviced. Each cottage has its own cozy lounge with fireplace and secluded deck with braai's (barbequel's). The bedrooms are elegant and spacious. The bathrooms are well-appointed with luxurious amenities for your enjoyment. Breakfast is served in the Treehouse or can be served in each lodge. In the evening you can sit on the private patios enjoying the fresh air and watching the sun set on the surrounding mountains displaying a pallet of colours. Each of the superbly appointed cottages is a complete home in itself, ideal for short or long term stays. We offer excellent conference and function facilities. Silvermist House and the Treehouse are popular for weddings as they provide the perfect settings at which to have your ceremony, photographs and reception. (Wedding packages available).

With mountain trails converging at Silvermist, the estate is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers and is within 10 minutes from the sea, restaurants, winelands and shops. Hout Bay is a mere hop away and is well known for its fresh fish markets, arts, crafts and wonderful restaurants. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is only 7 minutes away, while Constantia boasts the historic Groot Constantia and Buitenverwachting wine farms just to mention a few.

Directions to reach Silvermist Mountain Lodge from Cape Town

From Cape Town take the N2 freeway out of the city, feed off towards Muizenberg on the M3 (De Waal Drive), passing the University of Cape Town on your right. At the first set of traffic lights you reach turn right into Rhodes Avenue.

Follow Rhodes Avenue pass Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens on your right to the T-Junction at the far end.

Turn right at the T-Junction into Rhodes Drive and follow the road as it winds around the mountain to the traffic circle at Constantia Nek.

Drive ¾ of the way around the circle and take the Hout Bay Main Road feed off.

Be aware that the entrance to Silvermist is just +/- 300 meters from the traffic circle on the left hand side. Travel slowly down the Hout Bay Main Road or you will miss us.

Turn left through the white gate posts onto Silvermist and follow the drive all the way to the top to find reception.
