Shikwari Bush Lodge
A four suite, 3 star graded, lodge with views of the majestic Northern Drakensburg Mountains. Owner run with passion give a warm and friendly atmosphere. An ideal base to explore the Northern Limpopo Province, near to Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon, the Panorama Route and Echo Caves. The Drakensburg Mountains are home to the Manoutsa Vulture Colony, the fourth largest colony in the world. Take a safari on our game vehicle or a walk to see eland, impala, waterbuck, bushbuck, kudu, zebra & giraffe. Learn about birds, plants and trees with our FGASA trained guide. Big 5 trips to a private game reserve also available.
The main lodge area has a tranquil plunge pool, laze the day away on one of the sun beds or read a book on the shady veranda. Guests can book adventurous activities around the area with our reception. At the end of a busy day watch the sunset turn the Skilderkraans Mountain into a rainbow of colour while sipping sundowners. Dine on good South African and country cuisine under a dark velvet sky full of stars and on cooler nights in our well appointed romantic candlelit dining room.
Retire in the evening to a luxurious suite with a small veranda, secluded amongst the bush. Each suite is beautifully decorated and well appointed. The en-suite bathrooms have large oval baths, bathrobes and special toiletries. Take an exhilarating shower in your secluded outdoor shower. Our beds dress with fine percale linen. All rooms have fans and are air-conditioned. A hospitality tray and mini bar are also provided.
Pangolin Bush Camp
Additional self catering accommodation is offered separately at this rustic camp. The three rondavels are queens and one is a twin. There is a separate private bathroom with bath, toilet, and basin, separate toilet and an outdoor shower. The rooms are not en-suite & all amenities are shared between the four rondavels. They have fans but are not air-conditioned. There is a fully equipped kitchen, on an open patio, lounge with TV, boma for braais (barbecues), your wood is supplied and fire lit for you. There is also a plunge pool set in a garden around which the rondavels (round rooms) are placed. Book the whole camp for a family gathering or a friend's reunion, children up to 15 years old stay free. |
