DESCRIPTION:
 
Overlooking a traditional fishing harbour with stunning views across Walker Bay to Hermanus and the Cape Point, just 2 hours from Cape Town, Saxon Lodge is a perfect location for relaxation and exploring the Overberg region. Situated in Gansbaai, which is the international Mecca for cage diving with “Great White Sharks” and has the only fresh water caves along the Southern African coastline.

Saxon Lodge offers exclusivity to residing guests in individually designed, private suites. There is a choice of various luxury suites, with bedroom and full en-suite bathroom, own private lounge and view veranda, with sea and harbour views - or - comfortable standard rooms, with en-suite showers. Our restaurant is renowned for excellent cuisine with stone fireplace where we light log fires during winter. In addition we have the Summer Restaurant, overlooking the harbour where we serve breakfasts and dinners during summer. Saxon Arms Residents' Pub, with a yachting theme is the ideal place to meet before dinner. Two pub areas, have comfortable seating with a cosy fire during winter. Well stocked to meet international standards. Taste our excellent local wines or beer from a local micro brewery!

Saxon Lodge accommodates holiday or travel groups within the lodge, and specialise in hosting scuba diving and other tour groups such as whale tours and shark diving tours.

Family Suite

Consists of a separate bedroom (double bed) with en-suite bathroom, plus enormous lounge with twin beds and large view veranda. Comfortably sleeps a family of 4. We have a cot and high chair available. This suite is wheel chair friendly.

Honeymoon Suite

Very private, with stunning views of the harbour and Walker Bay! Romantic bedroom and bathroom with double shower and corner bath, with designer gowns and luxurious toiletries to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Executive Two Bedroom Suite

Panoramic views across Walker Bay to Hermanus and the Cape Point. The suite consists of: Master bedroom (queen bed) with full en-suite bathroom (double vanity, double shower, and corner bath); 2nd smaller bedroom (double bed) with shower en-suite. An enormous, well appointed and very comfortable lounge with original art work and African carvings, with courtesy bar and fridge (that can be stocked from our pub). undercover view veranda; plus a study lounge.

In order to confirm reservation: A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full amount is required, with balance due on arrival.
Cancellation Policy: A further 25% one month prior to arrival, with 100% on due date of arrival.

DIRECTIONS:
 
Turn-off the N2 at the Hermanus / Botrivier turn-off onto the R43.

Drive through Hermanus, staying on the main road. Once you are out of the central town area and driving though a housing area on the way out of Hermanus, you will go straight over a circle, and head out of Hermanus on the R43 (there is a sign at this circle showing "Gansbaai" straight on). You will pass Stanford, a small village on your right, 20km after Hermanus. 20km from Stanford, you will enter Gansbaai.

After entering Gansbaai, cross over the first two stop streets in the main road.
At the third stop street, turn right into Fabriek Street ("Saxon Lodge" sign, at this intersection).
Cross over two intersections in Fabriek Street, the second one being a stop street.
At the very next street (third intersection), turn right into MULLER STREET.
Saxon Lodge is directly in front of you at the end of a short cul-de-sac.
Park your vehicle in the parking area outside the lodge and enter through the internal parking area.
