Come and enjoy German hospitality on the farm Kleinfontein where you may have privacy, peace, quiet and tranquillity in the beautiful surroundings and be awakened by birdsong. For people traveling between the Kruger National Park and KwaZulu-Natal or the Indian Ocean, our guest house is the perfect place to sleep over or relax for a few days.
The Röhrs family bought the farm in 1923 and is now farmed by the generation, Bernd and Adri Röhrs. Except for a herd of cattle grazing on the farm, 75% of the farm is under tree plantations and there are strong fountains on the farm. Bernd and Adri are German speaking South Africans and also speak English, Afrikaans and Zulu. There is one double storey garden chalet with a TV, kitchenette, bath / shower facilities and it can accommodate up to 3 guests. There are three double rooms, each with en-suite bathrooms available in the main farm house. One family unit is also available with two rooms, four beds and an en-suite bathroom. The guest house has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge with a TV and a patio with braai (barbecue) facilities.
It is situated only 10 minutes drive from Piet Retief on the scenic Volksrust / Wakkerstroom road. It's a home away from home for the tired person and a favourite with overseas, local travelers and holidaymakers. Guests may drive or walk through the tree plantations, relax around the swimming pool or try to identify some of the bird species on the farm. Guests have the option to have breakfast, dinner or bed and breakfast.
