Bordering the Orange River, Riverside Lodge & Conference Centre is situated in Aliwal North in the Eastern Cape, on the friendly N6 route. With spectacular scenery our lodge offers the perfect getaway venue for both business and leisure travellers. The lodge is comprised of 18 thatched en-suite rooms, located in a beautiful garden, all overlooking the Orange River.

Our fully licensed restaurant, "The Orange Gecko", serves up mouth-watering dishes to be savoured whilst enjoying the view of the Orange River. Our "Pub and Grill" offers a wide selection of pizzas and grills. Situated 10km downstream from Riverside Lodge & Conference Centre, on the banks of the Orange River, is our self catering lodge, which can accommodate up to ten people. It is located in the exclusive malaria free Jak Strydom Private Game Reserve which offers 1000 hectares of indigenous beauty, just minutes away from the Riverside Lodge. Enjoy picnicking at one of the tranquil riverside picnic spots with a lapa and braai (barbecue) facilities.

Take a game drive and view our 19 species of rare wildlife including buffalo, rhino, giraffe, bontebok, tsessebe, njalas, gemsbuck, waterbuck, eland, zebra, kudu etc. The reserve also has an abundance of birdlife. Take a scenic walk to the ancient rock art or enjoy fishing for the elusive yellow fish. End your day with a relaxing soak in the nearby hot water sulphur spring.
