Riverside 4x4 and Canyon Hiking Trails

Riverside 4x4 offers accommodation on the banks of the Vaal River. The 4x4 trails involve obstacles ranging from rocks, sand, water, mud and steep up hills. Winch posts are provided for the daring drivers. Escape routes are available if you’d like to skip an obstacle. Enough space is available for those who want to test the ability of their motor vehicles and skills. The route covers an area of about 25km in diameter with various circle routes joining each other.

This rustic accommodation in the North Eastern part of the Free State has a camping site, spacious farm house with electricity and a sand stone shed, away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Overnight facilities are available for about 20 people and there is ample space for additional people who love to camp in the great outdoors.

We offer mainly self catering accommodation, but meals can be provided on request. The kitchen has pots, pans, a fridge and cooking facilities. Guests are welcome to utilize the lapa and braai (barbecue) facilities. Safe, secure parking is available on the premises for the vehicles.
