DESCRIPTION:

Rissington Inn is an affordable, award-winning country lodge in the heart of the Lowveld. Stylish but relaxed and informal, the inn is the perfect stop-over on the way to the game reserves and an ideal base from which to explore all that Mpumalanga has to offer.

The 16 suites are surrounded by 10 acres of extensive colourful gardens and offer comfortable, spacious and airy accommodation. All rooms have their own entrances and verandahs. Each has a private bathroom and the magnificent garden suites also offer outdoor showers. The rooms and the charming, thatched farmhouse are shaded by magnificent trees and have breathtaking views down the valley. There are two new hillside suites, the "Pumalanga" and "Shonalanga". Each suite has two bedrooms (with a super-kingsize bed in one room and a queen and a single in the other), two full bathrooms and a sitting room. They are situated on the hill above the main lodge building and also have minibars, televisions with DSTV, internet connections with free broadband, outside showers, Victorian baths and by far the best view on the property. They both share a private swimming pool.

Outstanding breakfasts, light meals, lunch and dinner are served in our a' la carte restaurant, open 7 days a week. Extensive choices and superb food. The welcoming, friendly bar is fully licensed. Rissington's congenial, easy-going hosts ensure cheerful, attentive hospitality allowing guests total freedom to unwind and enjoy the peace of the bush, lie by the sunny pool or walk down the valley with its spectacular birds and game sightings. Just 10 minutes from the Kruger National Park and close to all the attractions of the Great Escarpment and Panorama Route. Golf, riding and a host of activities nearby. Rissington Inn – Open Doors. 10 years of exceeding expectations.

DIRECTIONS:

Take R40 North to White River (passing straight through Rocky Drift). In White River, at the first set of traffic lights in the town itself (with White River Toyota ahead of you), turn left, following signs to Hazyview and Wildtuin/Kruger National Park. At the next traffic light, turn right - with the playing fields on your left and, further on, an open park with a pond on your right - and carry on alongside the CBD. Cross over the next set of traffic lights and then at the final set, with a Caltex garage on your right, turn left on the R40 for Hazyview. (The R538, via the Numbi Gate, is a busy road and not recommended). Continue on this road for about 45km, where you will come to a T-junction. Turn left to Hazyview and travel a further 1km exactly, where you will see the entrance to Rissington Inn on your left. Turn left. Rissington is 1km down the gravel road from this turn-off. Keep to the left-hand road of the two possible entrance roads at this point, although both lead to Rissington. Follow the signs!
