We invite you to share in the exquisitely beautiful and unique splendour surrounding Ridgeview Lodge. Your hosts (and owners), Gary and Tosca, pride themselves in offering warm hospitality, friendliness with personalized service. Indulge yourself in the magnificent, unequalled views over Durban and the sea afforded by our unique position ideally situated high up on the tranquil Berea in one of the cities well established up-market suburbs.

Centrally located and in easy reach of fine restaurants, shops, galleries, markets, theatres, beach 5km, city 4km, ICC 4km, airport 15km, golf courses, uShaka Island Aquarium, Victoria Street - Indian Market and numerous tourist attractions, are all close at hand .The ideal stop-over to the Drakensburg Mountains, Midlands Meander, Battle Fields, and the Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Parks. Read a book, enjoy forty winks or laze beside the sun drenched, sparkling swimming pool set in landscaped sub-tropical gardens ringed with tall palm trees. It's hard to imagine that you are in a city. In the evenings relax and leisurely enjoy sun-downers in the English pub and veranda. For dinner, we will gladly advise, and make restaurant reservations for you, to sample the diverse cuisine of the 32 restaurants, all within 2km of the lodge.

There are eight individual, stylishly decorated, double / twin en-suite bedrooms each creating their own elegant character. Six of the bedrooms have private entrances leading onto the garden. A full hearty South African plus a Continental buffet breakfast is served along with the finest of teas and coffees. Plenty of secure off-street parking is provided for behind remote controlled electric gates. We also offer laundry, office facilities, restaurant and tour itinerary bookings.

1. FROM THE CITY

Take the sunken Berea Road/King Dinuzulu north,N3, heading west out of Durban towards Pietermaritzburg, keep Left and take the second turn off ramp EXIT 3 - RIDGE Go up passed the Shell Garage to the traffic lights and turn left into SOUTH RIDGE ROAD/MAZISI KUNEN, go through the next set of traffic lights (Clark and Mazisi Kunen) go up the hill and turn left into LOUDOUN ROAD opposite ENTABENI HOSPITAL which will be on your right.

2. FROM PIETERMARITZBURG-JOHANNESBURG/N3 HIGHWAY

Head towards CITY Sign reads EXIT3 - RIDGE-BEREA, glide off but keep right up to the traffic lights. Turn right and go across the BRIDGE through the traffic lights, up the hill ( MAZISI KUNEN ROAD) through the next set of traffic lights (Clark Road) go up the hill and turn left into LOUDOUN ROAD opposite ENTABENI HOSPITAL which is on you right.

3. SOUTH COAST / N2

From the South Coast take the direction M4 -DURBAN and CITY. Travel for 12kms. Sign reads EXIT 2 MOORE ROAD/CHE GUERAVA/BEREA, glide off left into MOORE ROAD/CHE GUERAVA and travel all the way up Moore Road/Che Guevara (3km) to the top of the Berea ridge to the T intersection with MAZISI KUNEN, Turn left into MAZISI KUNEN Road. Travel through the intersection traffic lights with CLARK ROAD and up the hill, turn left into LOUDOUN ROAD opposite ENTABENI HOSPITAL.

4. FROM NORTH COAST via N2 - NEW AIRPORT

Approaching the N3 Interchange, keep to the left hand lane and take the DURBAN off-ramp and head for the CITY on the N3. Keep to the left-hand lane and take the EXIT 3 RIDGE- BEREA turn-off and follow as in 2 above.
