Ravenna Mountain Retreat is a working fruit farm nestled between the Majestic Langeberg Mountains and rugged Karoo koppies. The surroundings are peaceful and tranquil, with unending views, unspoilt landscapes, fresh karoo air and mountain water all year round.
The establishment offers 7 luxury fully equipped cottages (see our "Rates" page for further details), either for self catering or B&B, each with its own cosy private atmosphere. The secluded one bedroom cottage is ideal for honeymooners, complete with a Victorian bath and open air shower. Each cottage has a fireplace and / or heater as well as braai (barbecue) facilities, bar fridge and kitchenette. Scrumptious continental, farm breakfasts and picnic baskets are available on request.
Ravenna is within close proximity to the Poortjieskloof Dam for angling, a trout farm, private wine cellar, excellent 4x4 routes and horse riding. Nature lovers can enjoy a variety of indigenous birds and the diversity of the local flora ranging from Cape fynbos to Karoo bushveld and succulents. There are various hiking and mountain biking trails on the farm and in the Langeberg Mountains. For the more adventurous, there is swimming in the farm dam or laze around the pool with magnificent views. Have a professional photographic portrait done of yourself, kids and family; and / or pamper yourself with a full body massage, facial, pedicure and manicure (prior booking necessary). |
