Set in beautiful gardens at the foot of an unspoilt hillside, the house has been attracting a worldwide clientele for almost as long as its transformation, which included adding bathrooms and all the other mod cons not normally associated with the time of the construction of the house. Fifteen foot high ceilings add an elegance to all the rooms, as well as accentuating the overall impression of graciousness which is apparent the moment one steps through the front door and into the spacious hall with its books, wall hanging and pictures.
Adjoining the main house is Kestrels Cottage, named after a family of Rock Kestrels which had taken up residence in the eaves and which, once tamed became a much enjoyed feature of the place when they returned in the evenings to feed from the owner's hand. The two en-suite bedrooms in the cottage served by a lounge / bedroom, which can be opened to one or both rooms, provides an ideal arrangement for visiting families.
Pula House offers in all, four double bedrooms accommodating guests. All are en-suite and, as with all rooms in both houses, vibrant colours on the walls are complemented by some fascinating artwork. Much of the beautiful antique furniture comes from the family home in France of owner Fabrice Rebouillat. |
