Pockets Place is a small scale cattle farm with ducks, geese, chickens and a small citrus orchard comprising mainly of lemon trees. We pride ourselves on keeping a large portion of the farm as natural as possible, preserving the indigenous flora thereby attracting a large variety of birdlife, around 300 species. A number of wild animals have been sighted on the farm including warthog, jackel, leopard, baboon, kudu, duiker & brown hyena.

We have three units on offer for accommodation. Sunset and Sunrise are double story, thatched units which back onto each other. The downstairs comprise of an open plan, fully equipped kitchen / dining area, lounge with a comfortable double bed sleeper couch and bathroom with shower and toilet. The upstairs of Sunset comprises of two rooms, one with a double bed and the other, two single beds. Sunrise has one large room with a double bed only. Separate thatched verandas provide shade and each unit has its own braai (barbecue) facilities. Our Bush Cottage is a separate open plan, thatched unit which can accommodate a couple only and consists of a fully equipped kitchen, double bed and en-suite bathroom with spacious shower and toilet.

All bedding is provided including bath towels. Swimming towels are not provided and guests are requested to bring their own if utilising the communal pool. No landlines are available however cellphone reception is generally good. No TV or radio reception is available and is not offered in the units.

Many activities are available in the area including, Maropeng - Cradle of Mankind, game reserves, canopy tours, hot air-ballooning and historical trips.
