Nestled at the foothills of the Drakensberg, minutes outside Ladysmith in Kwa-Zulu Natal, Platrand Lodge is situated on the historical KZN Battlefields route of the Anglo Boer War, and offers breathtaking scenic views, modern facilities and world class service.
The Platrand staff will welcome you to 4-star accommodation, with 45 standard-, deluxe- and self-catering rooms, looking out over a lush green valley where you can wind down and finish the day with sundowners while enjoying the scene and various antelope species on the farm. All 4000 hectares of the farm are fenced for the 17 different types of game, although the main activity is the breeding of Brangus cattle.
Each of our 45 rooms has its own undercover parking, air-conditioning, a hairdryer, selected DSTV channels, tea/coffee facilities, room service and a iron/ironing board. Our Deluxe rooms also include a fully stocked bar fridge, veranda and a safe.
24-hour security on the farm provides peace of mind for all our guests. Self-catering rooms as well as 3-bedroom duplexes are also available on request.
The Lodge offers 3 different conference venues; ranging from an air-conditioned banquet hall to the secluded, bush-auditorium, to accommodate all events from 20 to 350 delegates. We accommodate all conference requirements, including catering breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, as well as an on-site restaurant and bar, for something a little less formal.
Weddings are our speciality and with years of experience and state-of-the-art facilities and equipment we will ensure your Wedding day is stress-free, exquisite and unforgettable.
Our friendly staff will gladly assist in planning; game drives, hunting safaris and tours to the Central Drakensberg or to view Africa's Big Five at one of the many neighboring game reserves. |
