Panorama Rest Camp is ideally situated on the Mpumalanga Escarpment with a stunning view over the Graskop Gorge and Lowveld. High mountains and cliffs, forests and grasslands, waterfalls and rivers are the ideal setting for your next holiday or stopover. Places like God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Three Rondawels, many waterfalls, as well as the Kruger National Park, and the towns of Sabie and Pilgrim's Rest - are within a 60km radius.
We offer affordable self catering chalets for 2 to 6 persons. Each chalet has a kitchen and bathroom. Most chalets have a microwave oven. Dishwashing liquid and drying towels are provided. The bathrooms have either shower or bath facilities, and towels are provided. We also provide linen for the beds. Chalets 1 and 2 have DSTV and TV's. Chalets 3, 4, 14, 16, 17, 22, 23 and 25 also has a TV with SABC and E-TV channels.
In addition to the chalets, we offer camp and caravan sites. All the sites are grassed and a lot of trees. We provide power points, clean and neat ablution facilities, a laundromat and camp kitchen.
Our facilities include a kiosk as well as some arts and crafts. Madelein's Coffee Shop is open from 8am to 4pm, for breakfast and light meals. The play area has a trampoline. Our well-known cold water swimming pool was built around the natural rocks and on the very edge of the Graskop Gorge. We also have a short hike of 1 to 2 hours just off the premises.
The Mpumalanga Escarpment region is world renowned for its scenic splendor and beauty, with a host of waterfalls and majestic view points of the Lowveld below, as well as the Blyde River Canyon. Furthermore you will experience peace and quiet, that refreshes your mind and soul. Many things have changed over the years but the one thing that has stood the test of time is that "peace and tranquility at an affordable price" is still our motto! |
