| Palmiet Valley is an operating wine estate with an exquisite boutique guest house at the foot of the Drakenstein Mountains near Paarl. Originally build in 1692, the historic Cape Dutch homestead has been lovingly restored to its former glory by its German owner. Surrounded by ancient oak trees and peaceful vineyards, the estate is only 30 minutes from Cape Town and few minutes to the best golf courses and wine estates of South Africa. The owner managed guest house offers peace and tranquillity. All rooms and suites as well as their bathrooms are individually furnished and decorated with the finest antiques in the style of the 1800s. Imaginative cuisine is served in the manor's traditional dining room or under the shade of ancient oak trees. Enjoy the large pool and terrace with views of the valley and surrounding vineyards.
