This unique and exclusive lodge is situated in its own, malaria free private game reserve, perched high on the slopes of Pakamisa Mountain and overlooking the rolling hills of Zululand. Architectural inspiration has been drawn from colonial Spain combining European ambience with gracious African hospitality and comfort. Pakamisa invites guests to escape with loved ones into the quietness of the African bushveld and to spend some quality time with their friends and families!
A room with more than a view awaits you at Pakamisa! Each of the eight spacious suites consists of a bedroom (king size or double bed), superb deluxe bathroom, lounge with tea / coffee making facilities, well stocked mini bar, electronic safe and opens out onto a large veranda. Enjoy mouth watering breakfasts to delicious alfresco lunches on the panoramic veranda of the award winning El Prado restaurant. Contemporary and international cuisine is beautifully presented, with silver cutlery, crystal glasses and porcelain plates enhancing a traditional dining experience in the elegant dining room or "Out of Africa" style under the stars. The restaurant has an exceptional wine list and offers game specialties.
At Pakamisa we specialise in riding holidays for families, groups and individuals. Each of our trail rides provides incredible game viewing on horseback while wandering through the plains and climbing up of the hills of Pakamisa reserve. For those visitors who would like to experience Pakamisa on two legs rather than on four, there are wonderful walks and trails through the valleys, along the river banks or up the Pakamisa mountain for the most rewarding panoramic view of 360 degrees. Tailor made activities also include the traditional game drives in the Pakamisa reserve, where you will be able to watch herds of antilopes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and over 250 species of birds are spotted. You will be accompanied by our well trained game rangers. |
