Outspan Inn is situated in Port St Johns on the beautiful Wild Coast at the mouth of the Umzimvubu River. A short walk across the lawns takes you straight down to First (our) Beach. It's not a swimming beach, but is great for sundowners, walks, building sandcastles and fishing.
All our rooms are sea facing, but because we are environmentally aware and bird friendly, the swathe of coastal bush between the lawns and the beach is left intact for the birds. The B&B rooms are all en-suite, facing the gardens. Selected rooms have satellite TV (DSTV), and the ground floor rooms all have little lounges with bar fridges. The swimming pool is fenced and the gardens are child friendly. Pets are welcome if they are well behaved.
Outspan Inn on the Wild Coast is the place to base yourself when visiting the Wild Coast. Xhosa and Pondo Culture is on our doorstep, and we are the preferred place to stay by Sardine Run (the magnificent annual ocean migration) operators, divers and sightseers.
Port St Johns, famous for its scenery, and it's also great for mountain biking and canoeing (20km of flat water), hiking and fishing. |
