Nibela Lodge is located on the eastern shores of Lake St Lucia Wetlands Park, which is part of a World Heritage Site. Nibela Lodge blends almost magically into the forest surrounds. Eleven luxurious thatched chalets are situated high up in the cool forest beneath a magnificent canopy of trees where guest can enjoy the solitude and tranquility of Africa at its best. These chalets are connected by raised wooden walkways that lead to the main lodge facility area. Offering ultimate comfort, the units consist of en-suite bathroom, mini-bar, dressing room and private viewing deck, where sundowners can be enjoyed in a tranquil and secluded setting offering superb views. Enjoy breakfast to the song of indigenous birds or dinner under a sky of scattered stars at the prestigious restaurant that seats 30 people and focuses on personalized service and excellent cuisine. | From Johannesburg - follow route through Ermelo to Pongola, take N2 south bound to Hluhluwe. From Durban - follow N2 north bound to Hluhluwe. * Please note that we do not recommend that the last 62km be driven at night * • Travel through Hluluwe, at the fourth traffic circle turn left. • Travel for, 1km turn right crossing over railway tracks, you are now at the Sodwana road. • On the Sodwana road, you will travel 38km, turn right at the second D675 road sign (First sign is at 29km, please pass this one). There is a brown tourism board indicating Va'Umlomo and Ezimondweni Clinic. You are now on a dirt road (to Nibela approx 24km) • Travel approx 4km and you will see the Ezimpondweni trading store is on your right, road splits - keep to the left. • Pass clinic on your left hand side. • Mavuso high school board on your left hand side. • Tribal courthouse is on the left hand side. • From here there are green signboards indicating direction to Nibela & Sobenghu at 22km, 20km, 15km, 10km, 6km, 4km and 2km. • Please keep straight on the dirt road, do not turn off, and keep the power lines in sight follow these and you will end up with us. |
