Mountain Shadows is a historic manor house, dating back to 1823, set amongst spectacular mountain scenery in the heart of the Cape wine country. With rolling lawns, swimming pool, outside bar and braai area set under the oak trees, olive groves, vineyards, and a dam in which to swim, fly fish, row on or enjoy a sundowner on the jetty all adds to why Mountain Shadows Guest House provides the ideal venue for experiencing peace and tranquility.
The guest house invites you to experience Cape cuisine and hospitality at its best. Fine food prepared by chef, Laura Truter, complimented by great local wines sets the mood for a perfect evening of entertainment.
We offer spacious en-suite bedrooms individually furnished with antique Cape Dutch furniture. Mountain Shadows is the ideal venue for weddings offering a full co-ordination service. We also host conferences and birthday, year end or any other functions.
We are situated 40 minutes from the Cape Town International Airport, 20 minutes from Stellenbosch and only 3 minutes off the N1 highway. |
