Mont Plaisir is a working farm located 6km out of Fouriesburg town with four luxurious self catering units and a room in the historic Old Main House.
All the buildings have fireplaces and their own braai (barbecue) facilities (firewood is provided for). The units are all fully equipped and include bedding and bath towels. All beds are either queen size or single, with extra length mattresses.
The Old Main House - In the Old Main House is a beautifully furnished and decorated bedroom with a large en-suite bathroom available for bed and breakfast. The room is situated on a beautiful patio with built-in braai (barbecue) and has its own entrance.
The Farm House - A complete farm house, mostly build from sandstone. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It will accommodate six persons, based on two persons per room, but the bedrooms are large enough to put additional beds when required.
The Rondawel - Built from sandstone and thatch, it has one bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower) and a sleeper couch (for children) in the living room.
The Chalet - Set with the front to the west, it offers from its veranda the most stunning sunsets over the White Mountains. The bedroom has one queen size bed and a three quarter bed, as well as an en-suite bathroom (shower). In the lounge there is a double sleeper couch. It can accommodate five.
Activities on the farm include: Walking trails, horse riding, mountain bike rides, 4x4 trails, and bird watching. There is also a splash pool to relax in. |
