Mmuthlwa Lodge is a haven for discerning travellers or business executives who enjoy the comforts of home away from home to that of a hotel. At Mmuthlwa Lodge we are proud to offer every service you can expect in a hotel and much more! Your hosts are Dave & Andrew Beck who welcome you to their home, which is set on 3 acres of sweeping lawns, water features and indigenous trees. Birdlife is abundant with resident families of guinea fowl, louries, weavers, sunbirds and barbets. This is indeed a peaceful and tranquil venue with a reference to the bushveld amidst the concrete jungle of Gauteng.
The bedrooms are individually decorated, each with their own entrances. All the rooms are en-suite and features personal amenities, TV with M-Net, a fully stocked mini bar, tea / coffee making facilities, hairdryer, overhead ceiling fan, and safe for personal use. A laundry and ironing service is available. A full English breakfast is served daily in a comfortable dining room with a fireplace. Lunches and dinners can also prepared by our resident Chef on request and we are happy to cater for individual dietary needs.
In addition, Mmuthlwa Lodge also offers a conference venue, which can seat up to 25 people schoolroom style, built under thatched roof with big windows and sliding doors to the outside. The conference venue has its own bathroom facilities and the setting allows for lunches and tea breaks under umbrellas in the fresh air surrounded by bushveld trees. The setting of this venue is also ideal for an intimate wedding, private party, cocktail function, baby shower etc.
Mmuthlwa Lodge is located 35 minutes from OR Tambo (Johannesburg) Airport and only minutes away from the Midrand CBD. We are also in close proximity to Johannesburg as well as Pretoria, Kyalami Race Track, Gallagher Estate, Vodacom, Siemens, Grand Central Airport, SBL / Unisa campus, Lepizzaners, off-road driving range, team building facilities, local shopping centres and Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton to name but a few. Transfers, car rental, chauffeur drives and local taxi services can be arranged on request.
