Melville B&B and Guest House was originally built in approximately 1912. The house has a lot of historical background as the son of Gen. Koos de la Rey lived here till his death, at the age of 47. The house was then sold, new owners took over.
The establishment has 10 beautifully decorated rooms, all of which are en-suite and each room has a private and separate entrance. All the rooms have DSTV, fans, heaters and coffee / tea making facilities. Two of the guest rooms are equipped with self catering facilities. Family units are also available. There is a cosy communal lounge with a cosy fire place and a large sunny dining room where breakfast is served. Supper and laundry facilities can be arranged on request.
The various tourist attractions and landmarks situated near the guest house include Lichtenburg Motor Racetrack, the Barberspan Bird Sanctuary, Wondergat, the Agriculture Museum and the Bakerville Diamond Fields. |
