Mdoni House Guest Lodge, is situated 500m from the sea amidst tall trees on a hill overlooking more than an acre of lush tropical garden - a secluded tranquil setting in the heart of the South Coast - "Paradise of the Zulu Kingdom".

Enjoy breakfast or sundowners on the verandah next to the sparkling blue swimming pool, which seems to be suspended at tree top level - where there's a tantalizing glimpse of the sea through the trees. The large lounge and dining room also hosts a licensed bar. Modern lounge suites and coffee tables flank the television which receives local and satellite stations. Our six bedrooms have private or en-suite bath or shower rooms and are beautifully decorated with clean cream paintwork offset by vibrant curtains and upholstery, stunning metal bedroom suites, ceiling fans, television, fridge and tea & coffee making facilities. There is ample shady parking for your car or boat, two braai's (barbeques) are available for use anywhere in the garden and we are able to provide security for your valuables in our strong room. Our latest addition, Flame Tree Cottage is frequently utilized as an annexe to Mdoni House Guest Lodge. Set in it's own grounds 25 - 30 metres from the main house it makes a delightfully secluded honeymoon suite. The cottage consists of one double and one twin bedroom separated by the fully furnished lounge with TV. The kitchenette is fully equipped, and the stunning bathroom, a delight of cream tiling has a corner bath with a shower. The undercover patio has a table and chairs and a braai (barbecue) is available.

The beach at Umtentweni (2.5km away) is a large, pretty, protected beach, which also has a tidal pool. Some of the best sea fishing spots are very near. Port Shepstone is a mere 4km away where there are a variety of shops, restaurants and take-aways. Additional activities include - the highest commercial abseil in the world, wild swing, shark diving, scuba diving, snorkelling, boat based whale and dolphin watching, 4x4 trails, museums, art galleries, and many superb golf courses.
