Manley Wine Lodge (formerly Hunters Retreat Guest Farm) is situated on a wine farm just 1 km outside the historical town of Tulbagh.
Set in scenic country surroundings the accommodation consists of two thatched semi-detached cottages and seven spacious double rooms with lovely mountain views. All units are en-suite with shower and bath. Five of the units have fireplaces for those frosty winter nights. The swimming pool is located in the gardens next to the large braai (barbecue) area under a thatched lapa. We have a restaurant, as well as a function venue. There is also a large dam with some bass for the avid fisherman, and easy languid walks through the vineyard.
The farm also has its own charming chapel where couples can marry in the wonderful country setting with happy and contented farm animals for an audience. Receptions can be hosted in the gardens and smaller weddings indoors. The Manley Private Cellar wine estate on the farm has been producing award-winning red wines since 2002 and these are available for tasting and sales. |
