DESCRIPTION:
 
Nestled against the mountainside and bordering a nature reserve, Makapa Lodge is situated in Capri Village with a glorious view of the Atlantic Ocean and Chapman's Peak Mountain. Positioned on the Cape Peninsula midway between the Atlantic and False Bay coasts, we are only a short drive to the beaches at Fish Hoek, Kommetjie, Noordhoek and Simon's Town.

The guest house comprises 5 self contained units which includes - three double B&B poolside suites, one double B&B room and one double log chalet. Our three luxury poolside suites, the Oakwood, the Oregon, and the Cottonwood have been decorated with beautiful wooden custom designed furniture, each suite having an individual African flavour. These stylish suites comprise of a separate lounge, bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The Garden Room has twin beds which sit against an imposing stone wall that runs right through into an open dressing room. This leads into the toilet which has a shower cubicle. A log self catering chalet is set on its own away from the main house this cosy little log cabin has all that one needs to unwind and watch the world go by. Alternatively it makes a perfect base for the independent traveler. This unit is designed specifically for up to two people and is ideal for a honeymoon couple.

Our accommodation is in quiet, safe surroundings, only 35 minutes from Cape Town city and 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. We are ideally located for Cape Point Nature Reserve, Boulders Beach with its famous colony of African Penguins, Constantia and other wine routes, Noordhoek art route, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, and many other areas of interest. Horse riding, bird watching, mountain walks, surfing and golf are all close by.

DIRECTIONS:
 
From Cape Town International Airport

Take the N2 going towards Cape Town. Before you reach the city, turn off at Junction 6 (Observatory) onto the M3 to Muizenberg, (also signposted Kirstenbosch and Rhodes Drive). Continue on the M3 to the end of the freeway (about 16km) until it meets Steenberg Road, (Junction 23). At the T-junction turn right (M42), signposted to Ou Kaapse Weg and Fish Hoek. After about 1km turn left onto ‘Ou Kaapse Weg’ (M64), also sign posted Fish Hoek and Simons Town. Then continue over the mountain pass until you reach the suburb of Sun Valley.

Pass through one set of traffic lights, and then at the second set of traffic lights, turn right towards Kommetjie on the M65. At the first traffic light on the M65 turn left into Capri Drive (brown Makapa signpost), then take the 5th road left, Grand Bahamas Drive. (brown Bed signpost). The 3rd road right is Java Close (brown Makapa signpost) drive up to the two stone pillars and ring the bell which is inside the wooden box.
