Makapa Lodge is situated in the village of Capri, with a glorious view of the Atlantic Ocean and Noordhoek Beach in front, the Noordhoek Amphitheatre to the right and a nature reserve with proteas and fynbos to the left. This lodge is the perfect spot to explore the beautiful Cape Peninsula.

Set in a natural garden with guinea fowl, tortoises and singing birds, the self contained and well equipped timber cottages offer a haven after a day's sightseeing in the glorious Cape. The lodge offers visitors a choice of comfortable self catering holiday accommodation in rustic log cabins, or bed and breakfast rooms with beautiful views of the sea and the mountains. Visitors can take a short drive to the beaches at Fish Hoek, Kommetjie, Noordhoek and Simon's Town.

The guest house facilities include three separate units "The Burrow" which opens up onto the pool, "The Nest", which is a snug garden log cabin suitable for a couple, and "The Cave" which offers luxury bed and breakfast or self catering accommodation. The "The Burrow" and "The Nest" are fully equipped for self catering purposes and all three units have a TV with M-Net. The one unit "The Burrow" has a lounge with stone fireplace for added warmth and atmosphere in winter. The sparkling pool leading out from "The Burrow" can be utilized by all the guests at the lodge. This lovely outdoor area is wind protected and most suitable for sunbathing. There are also braai (barbecue) facilities in the pool area. The lodge has secure parking within the fenced property which has access controlled gates. Guests are warmly welcomed to Makapa Lodge by Kees and Hannah Lugthart.
