Louis Trichardt Lodge is located at the foot of the majestic Soutpansberg Mountains in the Limpopo Province. This is South Africas most northern mountain range and this rugged terrain is filled with a famous tourist attraction - the giant Boabab tree.
The Soutpansberg mountain range at Louis Trichardt is 130km long and is so named because of the large salt pan situated on the western slopes. The highest point, called Lajuma is home to scores of eagles, falcons and other predatory bird species. Another tourist attraction to these mountains is the fact that these are the spot where the largest concentration of leopard can be found - in the world! Most of the Soutpansberg region is malaria-free, with the exception of the northeastern areas near the Zimbabwe and Mozambique borders, and the Kruger National Park.
The Lodge is conveniently situated on the N1 in Louis Trichardt. Ideal for an excellent overnight stop or a laid-back breakaway. There are 18 spacious self catering units set in a garden of palm trees, which ensures a comfortable and private stay. |
